Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 154 Umbridge

Chapter 154 Umbridge

"Ron! We need to organize the students to go back to the common room." Hermione said to Ron after the dinner.

"Oh! That's right!" Ron, who was about to go back to the common room with Aries and Harry, said as if he had suddenly realized something, "Come on, little ones, come this way..."

"Ron!" said Hermione unhappily, "We...are...prefects...we...can't...call them...little ones..."

"But they are really small!" said Ron. Lavender Brown was already laughing so hard because of Ron's laughter.

"That won't work!" said Hermione, "First years, this way..."

Aries felt that Ron was right. They were indeed... very small. He was the same as them before! Aries could not help but sigh.

Several first-year students walked shyly behind Hermione, but when they saw Harry, they began to point and whisper.

Harry said, "I have to go first..." and left the hall quickly.

Aeris hurried to follow.

"You are in control of your emotions, man," Aris said. "Don't let your emotions control you all the time."

Harry took a few deep breaths and said, "I'm trying..."

Aeris quickly chatted with Harry about something else and came to the portrait of the Fat Lady. The Fat Lady in the frame asked, "Password?"

"Mibu Mibao..." said Aires.

Harry gave Aris an odd look.

"Didn't you hear Hermione when she said the password?" said Aeris.

"Obviously..." Harry said unhappily.

After entering the common room, Harry went straight to the dormitory without stopping. Aries was helpless, as he still wanted to say a few words to Hermione.

After entering the dormitory, Harry changed into pajamas and lay down on his bed. Aris shook his head and began to pack his luggage.

After a while, Dean and Seamus came back. Aris greeted them and continued to pack his things. Harry asked, "How was your summer vacation, Dean?"

"It's okay," Dean said uncomfortably, "Seamus is not having a very happy time..."

"Oh?" Harry seemed to be interested. "What happened, Seamus?"

"Nothing," Seamus said uncomfortably, "My mom wanted me to drop out of school!"

"Why?" Harry asked puzzled.

"It must be because of Professor Dumbledore," Aris said without looking up, "especially when Minister Fudge spared no effort to discredit Professor Dumbledore..."

"Not entirely," said Seamus. "Part of the reason is... Harry..."

Harry jumped off the bed with a "whoosh", as if a spring was pressed on his back.

"Sit down... Harry... sit down..." Aris quickly walked to Harry's side and poured a small bottle of potion into Harry's mouth without saying a word.

Harry sat on his bed and smacked his lips, "What the hell? It's so hard!"

"Relaxative!" Aris said, "It has the effect of calming the mind and soothing the emotions. I have been reminding you, Harry, not to always let your emotions control yourself!"

Harry did calm down a lot, but Aris was secretly frightened. Was Harry's condition so serious that he couldn't be controlled without the use of potions?

"Seamus, I always thought that we were partners, not enemies," Aeris said. "We have lived together in this dormitory for four years. Do you think Harry and I are the kind of people who would spread rumors just to get attention?"

Seamus stopped talking. At this time, the bedroom door opened and Ron and Neville walked in one after another. Neville was still holding his pot of "cactus with pustules".

"What's going on?" Ron asked.

"Nothing," Seamus muttered, "just something in the Daily Prophet..."

"My grandma told me," Neville said after putting his "potted plant" on the bedside table, "everything in the Daily Prophet now is nonsense."

"So, you all believe that the mysterious man is back?" Seamus said excitedly.

"This is an established fact, not our conjecture," said Aris. "What reason does Professor Dumbledore have to follow the two of us and make trouble?"

"Maybe he's getting senile..." Seamus said.

"Yeah!" Ron said disdainfully, "That's how the Daily Prophet slandered Professor Dumbledore. It's really nothing new. Do you actually believe this nonsense, Seamus?"

"My mother believes..." Seamus said, "If you can tell us what happened during the last project..."

"Go read the Daily Prophet," Harry said weakly, falling on the bed, "that's where the truth is..."

Seamus stopped talking, angrily changed into his pajamas, and lay down on his bed.

"Don't forget your brain skills, Harry!" Aeris stuffed another vial of potion into Harry's hand. "This is a sleeping potion. Good night!"

After saying this, Aris went on to pack his luggage, and the rest of the people went to bed.

Harry seemed to have poured the sleeping potion into his mouth, muttered, "It tastes so bitter...", and then there was no movement.

The next morning, Seamus got up, dressed, and went out in one go. Harry stared at it all in amazement and said angrily, "Does he think that living in the same dormitory with me will turn him crazy?"

"Don't blame him, Harry, he's just...just..." Dean smiled awkwardly and left the dormitory.

"He's just resentful," Aris yawned and said, "Seamus loved Hogwarts, but he almost couldn't go to school. If it were you, Harry! What would you do?"

Harry fell silent.

After arriving at the common room, they saw Fred and George's "job recruitment advertisement" posted on the notice board. Hermione was very angry about this. She dragged Ron to the notice board and discussed with Ron how to warn Fred and George.

Ron was a little panicked. "They won't listen to me," Ron said, "If you want to go, go by yourself..."

"Ron!" Lavender called Ron, and Ron hurried to find Lavender.

Hermione glared at Ron angrily. Aris patted Hermione on the shoulder, looked at the "job advertisement" with interest, and then said, "Don't be so serious. They haven't violated any regulations. It's just...possible...it is indeed...a little dangerous..."

Noticing Hermione's murderous gaze, Aeris spoke unusually "from the heart".

At breakfast, Professor McGonagall distributed the class schedule. Looking at the schedule, Ron almost spit out the oatmeal in his mouth.

"Oh my god!" Ron said in surprise. "History of Magic and two Potions classes in the morning; Divination and two Defense Against the Dark Arts classes in the afternoon. Is it really necessary to be so intense on the first day?"

"Have you forgotten that we have to prepare OWls this year?" Aeris said while chewing a piece of pie. "Instead of complaining, you might as well eat more so that you can hold on until noon, right?"

"I really hope Fred and George can develop skipping candy soon!" Ron muttered.

"Ron!" Hermione said through gritted teeth, "You're... a prefect..." At this time, Fred and George came over.

"Did I hear that wrongly?" Fred said.

"As a class monitor, you want to buy our skipping candy?" George said maliciously.

"I was looking for you!" Hermione said rudely, "How could you occupy the notice board and put up that kind of... that kind of... message..."

"We haven't broken any rules, Prefect Hermione!" said Fred seriously.

"So you can't give us detention, Prefect Hermione!" George said seriously.

Fred and George walked away laughing. Hermione glared at Ron who was concentrating on his meal.

Ron ignored Hermione and hid next to Lavender, who glared back at him without hesitation.

The day's study officially began, and the drowsy History of Magic class ended with Professor Binns saying, "Ten points for Gryffindor!"

Everyone looked at Aris with admiration, because he was the only one who persisted until the end of the get out of class without falling asleep. Even Hermione dozed off in the ten minutes before the end of the get out of class.

In the depressing Potions class, Professor Snape's expression was still sinister.

"Quiet!" Professor Snape said, "Today's lesson... Paralyzer... Recipe, preparation method... On the blackboard... Materials... In the cabinet... Hand them in before the end of get out of class... Take it seriously, today you will try your own potion..."

Aeris moved closer to the lonely Draco.

"How's the progress?" Aeris prepared the potion skillfully without looking at the blackboard.

"Not bad!" Draco said, mixing potions with ease. "There are also many people in Slytherin who hate the Dark Lord. They are a force that can be united."

"Gather as many people as possible around you, Drago," Aeris said, "Don't give Crabbe and Goyle a chance to hurt you."

"Don't worry!" Draco said, "Although they were my friends before, they are on different sides now. If they dare to make a move, I will beat them up. Even their fathers won't recognize them..."

Aeris chuckled, and the two began to work together to mix the potion.

In the second half of the class, Professor Snape went to trouble Harry again and cleaned up all of Harry's unfinished potions. Harry stared at Professor Snape fiercely, and his eyes seemed to say, "If I couldn't beat you, I would have killed you a long time ago!"

Professor Snape stared at Harry's emerald green eyes with a half-smile, and said slowly: "Gryffindor... deduct fifty points..."

As soon as the get out of class was over, Harry grabbed his bag and rushed out of the classroom. Aris, who easily handled Professor Snape's difficulties, also chased after him.

After catching up with Harry, Aeris pressed a small bottle of potion into Harry's hand.

"What's this?" said Harry angrily.

"A palliative!" said Aeris.

Harry drank the demulcent in one gulp and grinned unhappily, "Honestly, Aris, why are the potions you make so bitter?"

Aeris glared at Harry unhappily, and the two went to the Great Hall to have lunch together.

Harry was indeed much calmer after drinking the demulcent. Even the argument between Hermione and Ron at the dining table (about Fred and George putting up advertisements on the billboard) did not make Harry very upset.

Harry just silently slung his bag over his shoulder and left without saying a word.

Aries found Harry outside the Divination classroom. They waited together for the Divination class to begin, and Aries stuffed a few sandwiches into Harry's hands, eating while waiting.

The Divination class was as boring as usual, but Aeris still saw some warnings: the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class would not be so easy.

During the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Umbridge came into the classroom with a fake smile. After calling the roll and confirming that no students were absent, her artificial, coquettish voice rang out:

"O...W...l...s...Owls! For the Junior Wizarding Exam, if you study hard, you will gain something. If you slack off, you will regret it. I have learned about your previous Defense Against the Dark Arts professors, and I can only say: it's a mess. You only need to have enough theory to protect yourself..."

"Can theory help us survive Voldemort or his Death Eaters?" Aris asked, and held down Harry who was about to stand up. It seemed that the effect of the palliative had worn off after the Divination class.

The whole class gasped, and Professor Umbridge's smirk disappeared, leaving her expression unusually unpleasant.

"Hehe... Hehe..." Professor Umbridge smirked and said, "In my class, you need to raise your hand to speak. Let me tell you, a certain old confused wizard spread rumors that a certain dangerous dark wizard has been resurrected. I can only say... this is... a bunch of... nonsense..."

Aires waved his wand and pointed at the blackboard.

The blackboard became like an LCD TV, playing out the entire process of Voldemort's resurrection that Aeris had seen in secret. During the process, Professor Umbridge used magic to stop it several times, but the LCD TV...the blackboard, still played out the entire process.

Professor Umbridge looked at Aris with a distorted face, like an old toad staring at its prey, and the whole class looked at Harry with admiration.

"Detention... dear..." Professor Umbridge forced a fake smile, "for a week, starting tonight... okay, dear?"

"How about continuing for a semester?" Aris said calmly, "This way my memory will be more profound..."

Harry stared at Aris blankly. You could hear a pin drop in the classroom.
