Chapter 115: 2 Grimmauld Place
Chapter 115: 2 Grimmauld Place
After dinner, Aris, Harry, Hermione and Ron huddled in a small corner of the common room. Harry told Hermione and Ron about his experiences that day.
"I didn't know a Slytherin could be so brave," said Ron. "I've always been prejudiced against Slytherins, except for Drago, of course."
"Regulus?" Hermione said thoughtfully, "It's a pity that I can't meet him. If there were more people like him in the wizarding world, the situation of house-elves wouldn't be so bad..."
Aris, Harry, and Ron looked at each other and tacitly did not respond to Hermione's words.
"I will be living with Sirius for the rest of the Christmas holidays until school starts," Harry said, "and attending Regulus' memorial service. Sirius should be picking me up in the next few days."
"Then how are you going to get there?" Ron asked. "Sirius can't show up in front of everyone and show up at Hogwarts openly right now, right?"
"It should be connected to the fireplace in Professor Dumbledore's office," Aeris said, "It should not be difficult for Professor Dumbledore to temporarily open the Floo Network."
The next day, Professor Dumbledore again asked Fawkes to bring a note to Aries and Harry, asking them to go to the headmaster's office.
When the two knocked on the office door, the door opened automatically and Sirius was already waiting in the office.
Sirius was talking to Phineas Nigellus Black in the picture frame. Phineas Nigellus Black had a sad expression. Professor Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk, studying the Ravenclaw Diadem.
"Oh, Harry and Aris, you're here." Sirius greeted them. Although he had changed into decent clothes, he looked several times more haggard than yesterday.
"Sirius hopes that you will also be able to attend Regulus' memorial service, Aeris," said Professor Dumbledore.
"Of course," Aeris said, "Heroes are worthy of respect, especially a hero like Regulus."
"Please forgive me for not being able to attend Regulus' memorial service, Sirius," said Professor Dumbledore. "I have a lot on my plate. Not only is there the Triwizard Tournament, but Alastor also suggested that I take advantage of the holiday to conduct a thorough inspection of Hogwarts and resolve any potential risks."
"It's okay, Dumbledore," said Sirius, "I'm grateful that you agreed to let Harry stay with me for a while."
Sirius took Aeris and Harry through the fireplace in the headmaster's office and came to the location of the old Black house: Number 12 Grimmauld Place.
When he walked out of the fireplace of the old Black house, the house-elf Kreche diligently took a large brush and carefully helped Aris brush off the ashes on his body.
"Thank you, Mr. Kreche," Aris said politely.
"You are so polite, Master Grindelwald." Kreche bowed to Aeris with a respectful look on his face.
After helping Sirius dust, Krecher was a little perfunctory towards Harry.
Sirius waved his hand calmly and said, "Go down, Kreche. There may be only three of us at Regulus' memorial service."
Sirius must have spent a lot of effort to restore Regulus' appearance. When several people were paying their respects to Regulus' body, the handsome wizard seemed to be just asleep.
Regulus's portrait was hung on the wall, but there was no one in the portrait. Regulus in the photo was in his mother's photo frame, comforting the somewhat crazy old witch.
"Why are you so stupid, my poor child, why are you so stupid?" Sirius' mother, in her photo frame, hugged her little son and couldn't stop crying.
After dealing with Regulus's funeral, Aeris began his life as a guest. The dilapidated Black House showed Aeris its former glory.
This old house seemed to have its own consciousness. The various strange magic props opened Eris's eyes; the various magical creatures that popped out from time to time also made Eris feel novel.
What surprised Aries the most was that there was a study in this old house, a study of pure magic books. After obtaining Sirius's consent, Aries saw magical knowledge here that he could not see in the Hogwarts library.
Being a guest here did not make Aeris feel uncomfortable. Kreche took good care of the lives of several people. It must be said that this old house-elf was quite capable.
Harry would often chat with Sirius. Harry would tell him about his studies and life over the past three years, and Sirius would tell him about the interesting things that happened between him and James during his student days.
The depressed Sirius gradually became cheerful, except when Professor Dumbledore came to pick up Edwards and Harry when school was about to start. Sirius locked himself in a room and refused to come out to see Harry off.
After the Christmas holidays, students began to study intensively, except for the warriors. As Hogwarts warriors, Aeris, Harry, Draco, and Cedric did not have to take the final exams.
"You will definitely be top of the grade this time, Miss Know-It-All." Aeris joked with Hermione, making Hermione roll her eyes in anger.
"Instead of making fun of me here, why don't you think about how you can pass the second project," Hermione said dissatisfiedly, "I really don't understand, don't you have any sense of crisis?"
"To survive in the Black Lake and move freely for an hour," Aerys said thoughtfully, "Actually, Cedric has already given some very practical suggestions, the Bubble Head Curse..."
The days passed comfortably without having to worry about final exams, and before I knew it, the second event of the Tri-Wizard Tournament was only a few days away.
A few things happened these days:
The first thing is that Hagrid seems to be resentful about Madame Maxime's refusal to acknowledge her bloodline, and he interacts less with Madame Maxime.
The second thing was that Professor Moody forcibly searched Professor Snape's private storage room, after which Professor Snape seemed to have lost a lot of precious materials and herbs.
The third thing is that the black beetle suspected to be an Animagus that Aeris caught at the Christmas ball might be the unscrupulous reporter: Rita Skeeter, according to Hermione's attention and investigation.
Aeris, Harry, Draco, Cedric and others spent a lot of their spare time practicing the Bubble Head Charm. This spell would cause a large bubble to appear on the head, just like putting a round fish tank on the head.
"It's not safe," Harry said dejectedly, "My success rate of the Bubble Head Charm is too low, and it's easy to break. Dragoon performed better than me."
After practicing for more than an hour, everyone returned to their respective common rooms. Aeris and Harry found Hermione and Ron, and after they lay down on the armchairs, Harry couldn't help complaining.
"The competition is only a few days away, Harry," Hermione said worriedly, "If you can't fully master the Bubble Head Charm, you will have to give up the competition."
"Yeah, quitting in front of so many people," Harry said somewhat desperately, "I will definitely be the center of attention again, the only warrior to quit. I wonder if the contract of the Goblet of Fire will allow me to quit..."
"What are you discussing?" Neville came over and sat next to Ron.
"Our second project is to explore the Black Lake," said Aris. "Harry can't master the Bubblehead Charm very well, and we are worried about it..."
"Gillweed can solve this problem," Neville said, and took out a ball of thin kelp-like things from his pocket, "As long as you eat it, it can allow a non-aquatic creature to breathe freely underwater for an hour..."
"Where did you get this thing?" Aeris asked in confusion.
"Professor Moody gave it to me," Neville said. "Although people think Professor Moody is crazy, he takes good care of me..."
Neville handed the gillyweed to Harry. "Thank you, Neville," Harry said after taking it. "Are you sure you can keep me alive in water for an hour?"
"I'm not entirely sure, Harry," Neville said matter-of-factly. "There's a lot of debate among herbalists about... well... the effect of temperature on the effects of Gillyweed. I just wanted to give you some help, as best I can."
"Thank you, anyway, Neville," said Harry, examining the gillyweed in his hand.
