Chapter 299: The Noisy Finale (Part 3)

Chapter 299: The Noisy Finale (Part 3)

Spider shouted up the stairs, "Mr. Mike! We have an audience! Come and see! The organizer has found three audience members for us!"

The door to the lobby on the second floor was opened, and the acrobat pushed it open and walked out, followed by the savage.

The acrobat gave a welcoming smile. "Welcome, everyone. I think Violetta really hopes that there will be other people to enjoy her performance."

The Savage was carrying a small basket of apples. "Hey, Mike, I should go feed my friends. It's almost time for dinner. I'll go to the kitchen and prepare something when I get back."

The Weeping Clown half-pegged his body out from behind the door: "Is there someone else coming?"

The dancer was next to the crying clown. She looked distraught and didn't speak.

After the Savage, the Weeping Clown, and the Dancer left, the acrobat approached Conan and the others quite naturally. "I didn't expect you to come, Conan. But I think this must be the organizer's arrangement. As far as I'm concerned, the more outsiders who come here, the better."

Conan looked puzzled: "Why, Brother Mike."

The acrobat's face turned cold. "Except for the three of you, everyone here comes from the same place, the Circus Noisy, which is my home. However, a demon destroyed it that day. I was out buying goods at the time, so I was not caught up in the disaster, but..."

The acrobat spread a newspaper on the table, pointed at the content and said, "Look here, there was only one survivor of that massacre."

Conan stood on a chair, propping himself up on the table with both hands as he read the newspaper: "Moon River Carnival Massacre: A masked man in black carried out a massacre with a chainsaw. Only one woman in Moon River Park managed to escape by escaping the river."

The acrobat nodded. "This lady is Natalie, now Margaretha. As a relative of the head of the Circus Noisy, when I went to claim the body, I discovered that neither Jock nor Serge were there. I searched for them for a long time, but I only found Jock, who made a living as a carpenter. I still haven't found Serge."

"What about Uncle Muro and Sister Valletta? Weren't they there?" Conan asked.

Spider walked over slowly. "The troupe leader felt that Violetta was not suitable for performing at the carnival, so Violetta was not there. Mr. Muro left the circus before that."

"Yes, Muro longed for a life in nature, so I faked a fire before the carnival to help him escape," the acrobat sighed. "Then I gathered the few survivors of the Circus Noisy and continued to put on a circus, hoping to attract Serge to show up."

"But, that guy seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth and can't be found anywhere."

At this time, a trembling voice sounded from the second floor: "Will Seji come here? We all received invitations, there's no reason why he wouldn't receive one. He, he..."

The person who came was a dancer. She held a perfume bottle with a nervous look on her face and kept spraying the perfume on her face, as if trying to dispel her fear.

"Hehe, stop pretending to be pitiful here, Natalie. Your acting skills are as bad as ever. Even in the Golden Rose Theater, you are far inferior to the former female lead." The acrobat sneered.

"You!" The dancer trembled and turned around to go back to the room on the second floor.

"Trying to run again, Natalie?"

"It's all over, Mike Morton! Why don't you understand? Not everyone is like you, clinging to the past!" The dancer pounded the stair railing a few times in annoyance.

"No, it won't end, you shameful liars, deserters, and murderers. Now we have a few more witnesses. The truth will surely come out!"

"You lunatic!" The dancer left angrily.

The acrobat tossed his explosive bomb and turned to look at the door leading to the outdoors. The Weeping Clown was holding a pile of firewood and walking on tiptoe, as if he didn't want to attract anyone's attention, but the sound of his prosthetic limbs hitting the ground betrayed him.

Noticing everyone was looking at him, the Weeping Clown felt a little embarrassed: "I was just out gathering some firewood. I wasn't eavesdropping."

"Huh, Jack, you're still the same, sneaky as always. I heard you accepted funding from the Crystal Palace to open a fireworks store? But obviously you didn't make any money, and you're still as bad as before."

Hearing this, the Crying Clown was obviously unhappy: "You shouldn't say that about Natalie, she's not that kind of person!"

"Oh, so, what is she? A liar, a deserter, or..."

"Neither!" The Crying Clown angrily threw the firewood he had just picked up to the ground. After realizing what he had done, he bent down hurriedly to pick it up.

Seeing this, Spider slowly moved over and helped the Weeping Clown pick up some firewood: "Mr. Clown, Valletta is here to help you."

"Thank you, Valletta."

"Jock." The acrobat's voice interrupted the conversation between the Weeping Clown and the Spider. "What about you? What did you do that day?"

"I, I...that day Sergi asked me to go out shopping. You know, that day was a big day and I was not needed on a big day." The Crying Clown was a little timid.

Just then the Savage came back from outside with an empty basket. "Phew, it's snowing outside. I'm freezing. Mike, I think we'd better stay indoors until the snow stops."

The Weeping Clown paused and said, "That's not good. I just checked, and there's not much firewood left in the kitchen, and there's not much food stored either."

The Savage was optimistic and took the heavy firewood from the Weeping Clown. "Don't worry, it should be enough for several days. And if the food is really insufficient, the organizers should have prepared some."

"Then I'll go to the kitchen to prepare." The Crying Clown dragged his prosthetic limb away quickly.

The Savage scratched his head at Conan and the other two and said, "Sorry to make you laugh. Mike is a little obsessed with catching the real culprit who destroyed the circus."

Conan nodded in understanding: "Then the murderer back then could be the Sergi who never showed up?"

"I don't know. I didn't see Serge that day, and his body wasn't in the morgue, but it's unlikely he would have done that. He was once the circus's most popular, smiling clown, and Natalie often fawned over him." The acrobat clenched his fist. "That night, I remember..."

"The Moon River Massacre, that's what they called it." Spider suddenly inserted himself into the group, gesturing with his hands in a dramatic manner. "There was a madman who killed everyone, everyone!"

The Savage and the acrobat were both startled, while the Spider rubbed his hands happily: "Are you scared, Muro? And Violetta too. Doesn't that prove that Violetta's acting is good? Just like those plays in the theater, Violetta has seen them rehearsing. The actor who plays the madman wears a black robe. It's so..."

"That's enough, Violetta!" the acrobat shouted angrily.

Seeing this, Spider immediately hid in the corner: "Okay, okay, Violetta won't say anything anymore, Violetta will leave now, Violetta won't make Mike unhappy again..."
