The sun shines through the layers of leaves, casting tiny shadows, as if covering the forest with a golden veil. Lin Ruoxue quietly stands by Bai Zixuan, her eyes never leaving his pale face. The breeze blows gently, ruffling her hair, but it cannot blow away the worries in her heart.

"Bai Zixuan, please wake up soon, open your eyes and look at me, okay? Please, please." Lin Ruoxue called softly, with a barely perceptible tremor in her voice. She reached out and gently held Bai Zixuan's hand. His hand was cold and weak, which made Lin Ruoxue's heart tighten even more. She put Bai Zixuan's hand on her cheek, trying to bring him a little warmth with her body temperature.

Xiaoxuan squatted on the side, her eyes red, like a frightened little rabbit. From time to time, she looked up at Lin Ruoxue, and then at the unconscious Bai Zixuan. "Master, why hasn't Brother Bai woken up yet? It's been so long." Xiaoxuan's voice was tearful, breaking the silence.

"Master, what should we do next?" Xiaoxuan broke the silence, her voice full of helplessness.

Lin Ruoxue took a deep breath and looked up at the sky. The sun shone on her face, but it couldn't dispel the haze in her heart. "Let's rest here for a while, and wait until Brother Bai's condition stabilizes, then find a way to take him down the mountain and back to the clinic for treatment." She knew that she couldn't panic at this moment and had to stay calm.

Xiaoxuan nodded and snuggled up to Lin Ruoxue. Lin Ruoxue once again looked at Bai Zixuan, silently praying that he would wake up soon. She gently stroked Bai Zixuan's forehead and said softly, "Bai Zixuan, you must get better. We are all waiting for you."

"Bai Zixuan, you promised to protect us, you can't break your promise." Lin Ruoxue whispered softly, her voice echoing in the silent forest. The sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves and sprinkled on them, forming patches of mottled light and shadow. It seemed as if time had stopped, and only the three of them were left in this forest, fighting a silent battle with fate.
