Chapter 363: The Allied Forces Counterattack and the Enemy is Defeat
Chapter 363: The Allied Forces Counterattack and the Enemy is Defeat
Youcai took the crystal, raised it high above his head, closed his eyes, and muttered something. I could feel a powerful energy surging from the crystal, as if answering Youcai's call.
This energy grew stronger and stronger, gradually forming a huge energy vortex that surrounded us. The men in black were stunned by this sudden change and retreated, watching the scene in horror.
"Now, let's go!" Youcai opened his eyes, took my hand, and rushed to the center of the energy vortex.
I felt dizzy and when I came to my senses, we were already in an unfamiliar cave.
"Where is this place?" I asked in shock, holding onto the stone wall.
"If I'm not mistaken, this should be a secret passage." Youcai observed his surroundings in the dim light. "It seems we have stumbled upon a way out of here by accident."
We walked along this narrow secret passage for an unknown amount of time before we finally saw a faint light ahead.
"The exit seems to be just ahead!" I said excitedly, pointing ahead.
However, when we walked out of the cave and saw the scene in front of us, we couldn't help but be stunned.
"This...this is..."
What appeared before our eyes was the scene of the coalition camp!
"We're actually back to the coalition camp!" I was so excited I almost jumped up, but then I realized something and lowered my voice, "But how did we get back? And what exactly is that crystal that possesses such powerful power?"
Youcai didn't answer my question. He just looked at me deeply and said in a deep voice, "Mengmeng, we need to tell the coalition generals everything we know right now. This is related to the outcome of this war and even the fate of the entire continent!"
"But..." I hesitated. "What should we say? What if they don't believe us?"
"We can't care about that now." Youcai decisively interrupted me, "At this point, we can only choose to trust them."
We took a deep breath and walked towards the coalition's main tent. When the guards saw us, their faces were filled with shock and disbelief.
"You... you..."
"Take us to see the general!" Youcai said hurriedly, "We have something very important to report. It's related to the outcome of this war!"
The guards, hesitant and unconvinced, led us to the main tent. After an announcement, we were ushered inside. The tent was filled with smoke, and the atmosphere was heavy. Several generals sat around a table, scowling, including my brother. Upon seeing that I was safe and sound, he abruptly stood up, his face filled with shock and concern.
"Mengmeng! I'm so glad you're okay! But how could you…"
"Royal brother, this is a long story, but the most important thing now is that we have found the enemy's weakness and can turn the tide of the battle!" I interrupted my royal brother and said impatiently.
Everyone present looked at me in surprise, then at each other. I took a deep breath and told them everything about what had happened since we were captured, and how we had discovered the crystal and the secret passage. Finally, I emphasized Youcai's discovery—that the unknown force was afraid of the energy emitted by the crystal.
"You mean, we have a way to defeat them?" a general asked in disbelief.
"That's right!" Youcai took over my words and said firmly, "As long as we make good use of this energy, we will definitely be able to defeat them!"
"This is fantastic news!" another general excitedly slammed the table and stood up. "We can finally fight back!"
Seeing everyone’s hope rekindled, Youcai and I smiled at each other, our hearts filled with joy.
After discussion, the coalition forces decided to launch an immediate, all-out counterattack. Youcai taught several powerful mages how to use crystals and developed a detailed battle plan.
The horn of counterattack sounded, and the morale of the coalition forces was high. Under the cover of the mages manipulating the crystal energy, they launched a fierce attack on the enemy.
"Kill! -" The deafening shouts of killing resounded through the sky. The allied soldiers rushed towards the enemy camp like a tiger descending from the mountain and fought a desperate battle with the enemy.
The energy emitted by the crystal formed a series of light curtains, dissolving the enemy's attacks one by one, and those enemies who were directly hit by the energy let out painful howls and were instantly reduced to ashes.
"They are indeed afraid of this power!" I clenched my fists excitedly as I watched the enemy retreating step by step.
"Mengmeng, look!" Youcai pointed to the sky in the distance. The sky, which was originally shrouded in black fog, now had a hint of golden light. It was the long-lost sunshine!
"We succeeded! We really succeeded!" I was so excited that tears filled my eyes. This war finally saw the dawn of victory!
However, just as we were immersed in the joy of victory, Youcai's face suddenly changed. He grabbed my hand and said hurriedly, "Be careful!"
Before I could react, I felt a powerful force knocking me to the ground...
I clutched my chest in agony, straining to see clearly. Amidst the thick smoke and dust, a tall figure stepped in front of me, shielding me with his body.
"Talent!" I exclaimed and struggled to get up, but he held me down tightly.
"Don't move, it's dangerous!" He spoke in a hurried tone, looking around vigilantly.
Only then did I realize that the originally clear sky had been covered by black fog again, and the enemies that had been defeated were now roaring like beasts and rushing towards us desperately.
"How could this happen? Aren't they afraid of the power of the crystal?" I asked in horror.
"It seems we underestimated their determination and overestimated the power of the crystal." Youcai's face was solemn, and the sword in his hand emitted a sharp cold light. "Mengmeng, you stay here, I'll be back soon!"
"No, I want to go with you!" I shook my head firmly and held his hand tightly.
He looked at me deeply and finally nodded: "Okay, let's do it together!"
The battle raged on again, this time with an even more ferocious attack than before, as if to devour us completely. Youcai and I fought side by side, disregarding life and death, fighting tooth and nail.
After an unknown amount of time, we finally drove the enemy back. Looking at the devastated battlefield, I felt a wave of sadness. Although we had won the war, the Earth had paid a heavy price.
"We can't let our guard down." A talented voice brought me back to reality. "Those enemies who escaped will return sooner or later."
"You are right. We must completely eliminate them to ensure the long-term stability of the earth." I clenched my fists, with a determined light flashing in my eyes.
We gathered the most elite fighters from the coalition forces, formed a special operations team, and set out on a journey to hunt down the remnants of the unknown forces.
"Mengmeng, are you ready?" Youcai jumped on the horse and stretched out his hand to me.
Without hesitation, I placed my hand on his palm, used the force to jump, and sat steadily behind him.
"set off!"
The sound of horse hooves shattered the evening glow. We set out on our journey without hesitation. Ahead are unknown challenges, but we believe that victory will eventually belong to us...
Deep in the dense forest ahead, a cold wind blew, and the leaves rustled, as if whispering something.
