Chapter 272 Why is it you?
Chapter 272 Why is it you?
At 1 a.m., Bo Bing's flight landed in the suburbs of L city.
Exit.
A burly man from Northwest China, wearing a black vest and smoking a cigarette, leaned against a white Jetta behind him, his sharp, eagle-like eyes scanning the people coming and going.
Next to the Jetta, a Wuling Hongguang had its door open. The driver was a young woman with a trendy Sassoon hairstyle, a pretty face, and a fierce look in her eyes. Leaning against the window was a voluptuous woman wearing a tank top and jeans. She wore high heels, had big waves in her hair, and painted her nails red. She exuded charm with every glance.
Although passersby were envious, they immediately avoided the car when they saw two or three burly men smoking next to it.
"Sister Xia, who came to pick us up today?" The burly man sitting behind the woman muttered. "Brother Cao actually came to pick us up in person."
"Pick up the boss," Hai Bixia said, her gaze fixed on the exit. "When you're done, all of you better put away your shameless ways. If you're smoking, finish your cigarettes within a minute and stub them out to let the smell dissipate."
Upon hearing the woman say that the person who had arrived was the "boss" of Shenshuang Pharmaceutical, the car immediately erupted in a flurry of activity as people hurriedly opened windows and sprayed air freshener.
Inside the terminal building.
Bo Bing slung her backpack over her shoulder and followed the crowd out.
"Where to go?"
The man beside him tugged at the hem of the young man's shirt. "Is someone here to pick you up?"
"Just follow me, don't get lost," Bo Bing frowned, pushed the man's hand away, and said in a cool tone, "There's no lost and found here."
The guy's words had a double meaning.
He Jinlan, who was carrying luggage for three people beside Yin Su, smiled slightly, as if it were nothing out of the ordinary.
“A little mean to me,” the man in the hoodie, his hood pulled low and wearing sunglasses and a mask, glanced up, a faint smile playing on his amorous eyes.
Bo Bing ignored him. If this guy hadn't been so persistent in following her, she would have been more at ease.
No one knew what Yin Su was planning, insisting on coming along. Bo Bing knew this guy's personality all too well. Even if she didn't agree to him coming, once he made up his mind, he wouldn't give up. Maybe when she got off the plane and returned to the pharmaceutical factory, she would find that he had arrived at the factory before her and was leisurely waiting for her to walk into his trap.
—Was Yin Su truly unaware of the existence of Shenshuang Pharmaceuticals?
In that case, it would be better to keep things under our noses. Lü Shuang has already met Yin Su, and it would be too easy for Yin Su to uncover any clues later. Bo Bing doesn't intend to hide the existence of the pharmaceutical factory for long; this matter will come to light sooner or later.
"Yeah, I'm just that bad."
Bo Bing curled her lips slightly, not denying Yin Su's accusations.
The three of them thus came into Cao Xin's view.
"Want a ride? Want a ride?"
"Check in! Guesthouses, hotels, KTVs!"
The touts swarmed around the crowd as soon as they saw it emerge.
Yin Su and He Jinlan exuded an extraordinary aura, making them stand out from the background. The touts nearby assumed they were being picked up and discreetly left empty seats around them.
A driver of an unlicensed taxi seized an opportunity, grabbed the wrist of a seemingly harmless young man, and tried to get him into his car. But before the young man could back away, his shoulder was gripped by a pair of large, steel-like hands.
A deep male voice rang out, "Stealing our customers?"
"Get lost! Where did this coward come from? You were here first, Da. Did you just come blindly...?"
The unlicensed taxi driver, who had been working at the station for so many years, was not someone who could be threatened by a single sentence. When he turned around, he was almost scared to death by the group of burly men standing in front of him.
He stared at the tall man with the singer's braid at the front, clearly recognizing Cao Xin. He immediately released Bo Bing's wrist, almost choking back tears, "How is it you? Cao... Cao..."
Cao Xin.
"Watch your mouth," Hai Bixia, who was standing next to Cao Xin, glanced at the driver, her face dark and her tone fierce, "If you say another cheeky word, I'll chop you up."
The driver shuddered in fright, and the people soliciting customers for hotels nearby also recognized Hai Bixia and scattered to the side.
When Hai Bixia turned to Bo Bing, she immediately flashed a warm smile, her ample bosom almost blinding. "Boss Bo, this way, are you tired from the journey?"
Bo Bing turned her face away helplessly, "It's alright, let's go."
The burly man behind Hai Bixia was a little confused. Wasn't the big boss the one following behind? Why was Sister Xia being so attentive to a young man? But he wisely kept quiet.
Walking to the car, Cao Xin glanced at the two men who had followed Bo Bing, then looked at the expressionless Bo Bing. "Boss Bo, are these two coming with us to the factory?"
Hai Bixia understood the implication in Cao Xin's words. She handed the drink she was holding to the young man, her beautiful eyes sparkling, and immediately put on a smile. "Boss Bo, how about I book a hotel for these two bosses to rest? They might not be used to the factory environment."
"No need," Yin Su said, glancing quickly at Cao Xin and Hai Bixia, who was dressed in revealing clothes. He lowered his eyes, composed himself, and got into the back seat of the car. "I'll go with Bo Bing."
Upon hearing this, Hai Bixia and Cao Xin exchanged a glance, both seeing surprise in each other's eyes.
“It’s alright, he’s happy to experience life,” Bo Bing said, tossing his backpack onto the back seat. “Get in the car, let’s go to the factory.”
So Cao Xin drove onto the overpass, with He Jinlan in the passenger seat and Yin Su and Bo Bing in the back.
The atmosphere inside the car was somewhat somber.
"What are your names?"
Cao Xin broke the silence by speaking first. He glanced at the rearview mirror as usual. His boss was resting with his eyes closed, while the man sitting next to him was leaning back in his seat, his jawline beautiful and sharp. He had turned his used Jetta into a Cullinan.
Feeling that the guy behind him looked familiar, Cao Xin carefully chose his words, "Haven't I seen this person somewhere before...?"
"really."
Yin Su took off his sunglasses, his peach blossom eyes filled with dark clouds and churning cold water. He stared at the man in the rearview mirror, "You should recognize me by now."
Bo Bing opened her eyes and looked at the man, wondering what was going on this time.
The car was passing a streetlight when Cao Xin, bewildered by the pointed hostility, frowned and looked in the rearview mirror.
The man's face flashed by under the light, and the sinister red mole between his brows made Cao Xin's heart pound wildly. He felt as if his blood had been pumped to the top of his head.
This guy is actually...!
"Yin Su! How could it be you!?" Cao Xin exclaimed in surprise, looking at Bo Bing, "Boss Bo?"
Bo Bing hadn't even had a chance to speak.
Just then, a phone rang, breaking the awkward atmosphere in the car. Cao Xin answered with one hand and heard Monkey's anxious voice coming through the receiver, "Where are you and Brother Bing? Come quick—people have entered the factory!"
Bo Bing leaned forward and took the phone from Cao Xin.
“Monkey, do as we said before,” he glanced out the window, his face grim. “I’ll be there soon.”
