Chapter 1589. True Soul Projection and Unexpected Visitors.
Chapter 1589. True Soul Projection and Unexpected Visitors.
“True Soul Projection…”
Yasenia muttered softly as she sat cross-legged. The ethereal soul aura around her body gently cycled through her, giving her a closer connection to the soul realm than anywhere else.
Soul Palace Surfacing, the first level of the sixth realm from the soul path, didn’t have anything to do with this level. The next two, Soul Expansion and Soul Refinement, were equally independent. They helped by transforming Yasenia’s soul into a true immortal soul, but other than that, they didn’t really help with projecting out her own soul.
Still, as she sank into the feeling and came to understand this realm, she realized that the name had somewhat misled her. “...So I don’t need to project my soul out of my body or anything like that. True Soul, it refers to the refined immortal soul, while the projection is more of projecting its strength into the body.”
Both the Soul and Body paths had realms that helped the other side of their coins for balance. After all, even if you refined your soul, having a body that would collapse in a single punch would not cut it during a fight.
The same was true for the body path. It didn’t matter if your flesh was impregnable if a single soul technique could send you out into a shock or even soul death. Perfect flesh or a powerful soul needed to be accompanied by a sufficiently strong counterpart so that a single counter would not defeat them.
‘I see… I understand it now.’
Instead of trying to push her soul out, Yasenia transformed into her small dragon form. Small was somewhat relative, though. Her small dragon body had a 10-meter-wide wingspan and was over six meters long if you added her tail. Her height was also around two and a half to three meters. For comparison, she was like a very large and muscular horse, but with a perfectly slender dragon form.
In a way, the slithering curves of her draconic body had a certain allure, and her dragon face was similarly enchanting to a certain extent. After transforming into this form after so long, Yasenia felt somewhat relaxed.
“It has been a while… I need to focus.”
The small distraction was instantly cast aside, and her mind focused. The reason for transforming was that her soul was that of a dragon. While Yasenia spent most of her time in a humanoid body, at the end of the day, she was a dragon. Her true form and soul were dragon-shaped, so for something like projection, her dragon form was best.
Yasenia thought so, and her hunch was right. The moment she transformed, the projection that had been progressing somewhat slowly accelerated sharply. ‘Ah… this is the feeling.’
Her monstrous soul, probably the strongest facet of Yasenia’s entire existence, poured into her dragon body and began merging with it like a glove.
With the massive soul connecting with her flesh, Yasenia’s powerful physical body resonated, and both the soul and body began growing together. Her strength increased once more, and after a long process, Yasenia exhaled and opened her draconic eyes.
She leaned forward, stretching her front limbs and lifting her behind. “Hggnnn~.”
Her wings also stretched wide, the gorgeous Sun and Moon on her wings gently glowing in the somewhat dark room. Behind her, her large, agile tail also stiffened, then went limp and wagged leisurely as she finished her biiiiig stretch.
After shaking her body and loosening her muscles, a languid smile full of satisfaction appeared on draconic lips. “Finished! Sigh, so satisfying…”
This was the first time she used the Primordial Palace to her heart’s content, and she almost became addicted. Now, though, was the time for Yasenia to check how much time had passed in total. “Adding to the two and a half years I spent on the first few realms… Ugh… I spent a bit over ten years here.”
She had gone out between the spirit and body breakthroughs, but even then, she didn’t want to worry about time. Therefore, after spending a few intimate moments with her lovers, she returned quite swiftly.
“A total of thirteen years…”
Yasenia sighed, a bittersweet feeling lingering in her heart. With a single thought, her consciousness returned to her body, and she realized that at some point, even her real body had transformed back into her dragon form. She was currently curled on her cultivation mat, and as she raised her head slowly to look around, Yasenia noticed a small change.
“Hm… Weren’t there a few mountains in that direction? Why is it now a basin?”
Her golden slit eyes appeared confused, but she didn’t linger. Instead, she swept her surroundings with her spiritual sense and noticed a massive array formation surrounding the location they had taken over.
“These traces… A work between Angel and Tatyana.”
Yasenia was not worried. The strength of her lovers was anything but normal. Moreover, after going through training in the Star Breaker Realm Bead, their skills had gone through terrifying transformations.
She moved, rising onto all fours and quickly locating a few traces of her dears. Following them with her powerful Spiritual Sense, she found them speaking with relaxed smiles with some people she didn’t know.
Keeping her cultivation mat in her ring, Yasenia flapped her wings and flew toward them. Her agile, small body sneaked through the path and reached the location quickly.
The people by her lovers’ side noticed her approach. After all, she wasn’t hiding and quickly picked up weapons.
When Yasenia arrived, her body floating in the relatively tall structure, those people paled. “W-Where did this dragon come from?”
“Quickly! Retreat!”
Yasenia blinked, amused, and glanced at her lovers. After landing on the ground and completely ignoring them, she asked. “So… who are they?”
Angel trotted over happily, jumping onto Yasenia’s back to hug her neck and rub her face against Yasenia’s soft scales. “Hehe, welcome back, Yasenia.”
The relatively small dragon turned her head and nuzzled Angel’s face, licking her face lovingly. “Thank you, Baby.”
Andrea and the others also walked over, giving Yasenia hugs and kisses as a greeting. Of course, none of her dears felt odd with Yasenia’s dragon form. They had even mingled in bed in the past before, and to be honest, doing it with Dragon Yasenia was a whole… otherworldly experience.
Tatyana, who was leaning back and eating some of the snacks Yasenia cooked, spoke while munching. “Little Treasure, these people are talents who have come to challenge you.”
Yasenia, who was rubbing her dragon face with Kali’s soft tail, lifted it and glanced over. “Challenge me? Aren’t they too weak?”
The five people who had all been tense before suddenly felt their faces flush with some shame. This happened around the time Yasenia completed her Marrow Ascension.
The commotion she caused caused many hidden masters and other people to come here. Knowing that something like that would happen, Angel and Tatyana devised the formation outside and left a few words engraved in an ancient slate.
“Whoever wants to bother or conquer the Celestial Dragon needs to pass the trials.”
It was a fun thing Tatyana created for Angel to practice her more complex formation skills. To their surprise, these five managed to pass the trials Angel thought of.
So, feeling a bit awkward about the fact that someone could actually pass the trials, they decided to let them stay until Yasenia awakened.
Hearing the whole story, Yasenia looked at Angel, who was mounted on her back, and laughed. “So, to summarize, you dumped your problems onto me?”
Angel blinked her big blue eyes and smiled. “Hehehe. Yeah!”
Yasenia felt she was utterly adorable and nuzzled with her, licking her face lovingly and making Angel giggle happily.
“Ahem.”
Yasenia paused her loving licks and frowned, looking over with a cold look. “Can’t you see that I am pampering my Baby? Why would you interrupt? If it is not something important, I might smash your legs.”
The man who spoke stiffened and cleared his throat. “Senior, this is a bit of a misunderstanding, so we can go. There is no need for pointless conflict.”
Yasenia snorted. “You’ve come so far, so at least you should have some skill. Aren’t you too spineless?”
The five people felt wronged. ‘Who knew that the opponent would cause my whole body to erupt into goosebumps just from looking? I don’t want to fight anymore!’
A woman among them, someone with a healthy complexion and clearly leaning toward a martial artist's complexion, bowed with cupped fists. “Lord Dragon, I wanted to ask if you could aid me.”
Yasenia glanced over and walked toward the table, settling down around Tatyana and resting her chin on her lap. She didn’t mention the mismention of Lord. After all, Yasenia was part male, something she was glad about.
“What do you want? Help is not free.”
She had finished her training in the Primordial Palace, and while she wanted to go practice in the Realm Bead and also complete the transformation of her mortal skills, she was not in a hurry.
Tatyana used her nails to scratch Yasenia behind her horns, causing Yasenia’s back leg to begin patting the ground in pleasure. She reacted quickly. ‘Dangerous, I almost began purring.’
The five people tried to ignore the sudden burst of adorableness from the dragon. The woman, whose face was a bit flushed, coughed to regain her composure. “Ahem. It is like this. I came here to train for a nearby competition back in my family. If I don’t win, I will be forcefully married off, and it is something I do not desire. Please, help me train.”
The other four didn’t have such deep thoughts. They were roaming cultivators that had reached a limit in strength and wanted to challenge themselves. Only, they found the wrong opponent.
Looking at the woman without raising her head from Tatyana’s comfortable lap, Yasenia asked. “What is there in it for me?”
The woman pondered. “What would Lord Dragon want?”
Yasenia spoke easily. “Treasures. I am a Dragon, so give me something that will move me, and I might beat you up a few times until you learn something.”
Evelyn glanced at the woman and smiled, wanting to tease her a bit. “Also, our dragon here is female.”
Yasenia sent Evelyn a flirtatious glance. “Are you sure about that?”
Being intercepted by a stronger tease, Evelyn coughed and blushed. Her womb would disagree with Evelyn’s own statement!
The woman was a bit confused about the sudden exchange, so she didn’t speak and instead pondered what to give Yasenia.
Honestly, Yasenia was not expecting much. After all, she had ransacked… burdened herself with the treasures of a few hundred sects since arriving at this Heavenly Layer. Whatever treasures there were, Yasenia was quite sure that she would not be moved.
With a touch of reluctance, the woman extended her hand and manifested a single item. Yasenia’s lazy golden eyes sharpened for a moment as she zeroed in on the cloudy mass filled with starlight.
“How about this Natural Treasure, Lord… Lady Dragon?”
Yasenia raised her head from Tatyana’s lap and smiled, amused. “Are you sure? Do you know the value of this item?”
The woman nodded seriously. “Please, teach this little one, Lady Dragon!”
Yasenia, looking at the Star attributed Natural Treasure, nodded. “Deal. I was missing a Natural Treasure to give to Little Feixue. This one will do.”
The other four asked Andrea, who was the easiest to talk to, if they could remain for a while longer. Andrea asked Yasenia, and the dragoness shrugged. Then, light gleamed around Yasenia’s body as she returned to her humanoid form.
The five people's brains came to a momentary halt.
