As though it possessed a will of its own, it erupted with its power. The overwhelming pressure fell on the other talents.
Dozens of Rank 5 talents were instantly suppressed.
Even the Rank 6 Blood Clone could only wail before being forced to submit just a moment later.
As if satisfied with this result, Predation showed no further reaction.
Finished displaying its might, it moved according to the contents of the upgraded Cosmic Devouring Technique, becoming its anchor to devour the surrounding Cosmic Energy.
The process sounded complicated.
Yet, the entire sequence of events had only lasted for a few seconds from start to finish.
Almost as soon as Liora upgraded the technique, the Predation talent advanced and erupted, before settling back inside her body.
If it were not for her improved strength, Liora might have mistakenly believed that everything was an illusion.
However, she knew very well that it wasn’t.
Her consciousness swept out, part diving into her body and the other examining the area around her.
Soon, she had an answer to the question in her mind.
"My rate of absorbing Cosmic Energy has improved fivefold."
"Blood Clone’s advancement took about a week before. With my current rate, I could complete the accumulation process in just a little more than a day.", she judged.
This was enough to make her break into a smile.
However, what made Liora even happier was the change of the Predation talent.
Recalling the information she had just received, the World of Heart unfolded, completely covering a nearby demon habitat.
Under her control, an unsuspecting Rank 6 demon was instantly rendered immobile and captured before being brought before her.
Throughout the process, the opponent had no chance to offer any resistance.
Staring at the growling leopard before her, which currently seemed pitiful but had a bloodthirsty nature, Liora’s expression remained utterly unchanged.
She rose to her feet and calmly approached it.
Locked into place by the World of Heart and the pressure coming out of her body, the demon could not move at all.
It could only watch as Liora stopped in front of it and placed her hand on its head before a black light flashed.
The next moment, its consciousness was wiped out.
Its body was erased bit by bit, falling into the black hole floating in Liora’s palm.
Within moments, any trace of it having ever existed disappeared.
Liora’s expression remained calm.
Although she killed a Rank 6 creature, a being that would have held a high position even in the Human Federation, she felt nothing.
Her mind was completely immersed in the effects of the upgraded talent.
In the past, using Predation on other beings could only plunder their talents.
But now, this had changed.
Liora could see that the demon’s essence was divided into two.
