Chapter 274 Dreaming
Chapter 274 Dreaming
I slowly slipped my hand into my pocket and gently stroked the few star coins I had. They danced against my fingertips, as if telling stories and experiences they had witnessed. All the while, I softly hummed a little tune I'd recently become obsessed with. The cheerful melody, like the fluttering of spring butterflies, lingered in my ears, brightening my mood even further.
I walked at a leisurely pace, step by step, towards the hotel. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows. A gentle breeze caressed my face, bringing a touch of coolness. Time seemed to slow down at this moment, and everything around me seemed so peaceful and beautiful.
It wasn't long before I arrived safely at the hotel, our final destination. The moment I stepped into the room, a familiar warmth washed over me. I eagerly headed to the closet, quickly selected a set of loose, comfortable pajamas, and quickly changed into them. Then, like a lazy cat stretching out from its sleep, I leaped gracefully onto the cloud-soft bed with the perfect poise.
The moment my body touched the bed, an indescribable feeling of comfort spread throughout me. I stretched out my arms and legs, feeling the gentle embrace of the mattress. My thoughts drifted away as my body relaxed, and I began to recall today's shopping trip, which had been full of twists and turns and surprises.
Looking back, that day was truly filled with drama! First, I got lost in the mall, wandering around in vain, unable to find what I wanted. Then, I encountered a few unfriendly customers and had a minor disagreement. But thankfully, I finally found the gift I wanted, and it was surprisingly affordable. Thinking of the delighted smiles my friends would have when they received their gifts made my heart ache.
At that moment, a wave of intense fatigue washed over me like a tide. My eyes, as if under a spell, grew heavy, and my eyelids began to twitch. My consciousness gradually blurred, and the scene before me seemed shrouded by a veil, blurring its clarity. Before I knew it, I had fallen deeply into a dreamland of incomparable sweetness and bliss.
In that dreamlike world, I sat with my beloved family, happily making dumplings. As we expertly manipulated the dough, we chatted and laughed, sharing the little details of our lives. Before long, plates of steaming, fragrant dumplings appeared before our eyes.
We all picked up our chopsticks, scooped up each of the plump, tempting dumplings and placed them in our mouths. As we chewed them, the juicy filling blended perfectly with the soft, glutinous dough, bringing endless satisfaction. At this moment, laughter and joy filled the room, and an atmosphere of happiness permeated the air, making us feel intoxicated and unable to extricate ourselves.
As the delicious dumplings were devoured, my consciousness faded, and in a blink of an eye, I was transported back to a distant star. Stepping into the familiar nursery again, I was greeted by the children's beaming faces. They clutched the gifts they had just received, their eyes sparkling with excitement and joy. Seeing this scene, a warm feeling welled up in my heart.
At the same moment, my colleagues noticed my return. They were surprised at first, then quickly touched. Just then, a melodious, sweet music began to slowly rise, as if drifting from the horizon. Then, the surrounding scenery began to transform as if by magic.
In the blink of an eye, I found myself at a grand and lavish party. Colorful streamers danced in the air, and dazzling lights shone brightly, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. It turned out to be a surprise party the kindergarten had specially arranged to thank me!
Sunlight filtered through the dappled leaves, casting subtle shadows. A group of adorable children surrounded me like little angels, dancing happily, their faces filled with innocent smiles. Among them, Yuyun held aloft her box of colorful pencils, her eyes sparkling like twinkling stars in the night sky, as if filled with endless joy and anticipation.
Not far away, Lele excitedly ran around the grass, holding his beloved mecha model like a brave warrior. Meanwhile, the usually calm and studious Carl sat quietly in a corner, carefully flipping through a thick medical encyclopedia. His concentration was too intense to be disturbed.
Meanwhile, my colleagues gathered together, excitedly showing off the gifts I gave them and casting grateful glances at me. Sister Peier held my hand tightly, her eyes filled with joy, and said gently, "You always treat everyone with such care."
Lillian gracefully raised her wrist, the meticulously tailored bracelet gleaming enchantingly in the sunlight, making her look like a princess straight out of a fairytale. Wei Er stood quietly by, gently sniffing the delicate fragrance of the scented candles, her enchanted expression captivating.
Just as I was savoring this warm, blissful moment, the piercing sound of my alarm clock suddenly rang out, instantly shattering my beautiful dream. I drowsily opened my eyes and gazed at the empty room, a sense of loss welling up within me. However, as I recalled the scenes from my dream, the corners of my mouth involuntarily curled up into a faint smile.
I know very well that reality may not be as perfect as dreams, but as long as we always have a heart that cares for others, then no matter where we are, every bit of life will be filled with warmth and surprises, allowing us to feel endless love and beauty.
As I slowly emerged from that fantastical dream, the previous one still lingered in my mind—in it, I was enjoying delicious dumplings with gusto! What a strange dream! Why would I dream of eating dumplings? Confused, I reached for my pillow and picked up my phone. The screen lit up, and a striking date caught my eye: So, the Beginning of Winter solar term is next week!
The thought of the Beginning of Winter brings a surge of warmth to my heart. As the saying goes, "It's better to nourish the heart during the Beginning of Winter than to fill your empty stomach." So, next week, I need to prepare a good meal for the adorable little ones at the kindergarten! Hmm... how about a three-piece set specifically for the Beginning of Winter, so the children can also experience the warmth and joy of this traditional solar term.
