Chapter 156 Intracranial Hemorrhage
Chapter 156 Intracranial Hemorrhage
"Ding-dong—"
"Ding-dong—"
Ning Xiuyang stood up and said to Tang Wei, "Look, the doctor is here."
"Get up, don't sit on the ground, it's cold."
As he spoke, he reached out his hand to her.
Looking at Ning Xiuyang's outstretched hand, Tang Wei was torn between her inner turmoil and her own conscience.
It was a large and powerful hand, with distinct knuckles, and the palm seemed to still retain the warmth from when it had just wiped her cheek.
Reason told her that she should stand up for herself and not cause him any more trouble.
But emotionally, she desperately wanted to hold that hand.
She longed to draw strength and warmth from this hand to dispel the coldness and fear in her heart.
The doorbell downstairs was still ringing persistently.
Ning Xiuyang didn't urge her, but simply remained in that position, patiently waiting for her decision.
His eyes were calm and firm, as if to say: Don't be afraid, hold on to me.
Ultimately, the longing for warmth overcame the long-standing inferiority complex and withdrawal.
Tang Wei trembled as she slowly raised her hand and carefully placed it in his palm.
The moment her icy fingertips touched his warm palm, a warm current instantly spread from her palm throughout her entire body.
Ning Xiuyang's fingers naturally closed, tightly enveloping her small hand within them.
His hands were so warm.
It makes me feel so safe.
Tang Wei's eyes welled up with tears once again.
Ning Xiuyang didn't say anything, but with a little force, he easily pulled her up from the cold ground.
Because she had been squatting for too long and was physically weak, the moment Tang Wei stood up, she felt dizzy and her body went limp, causing her to fall uncontrollably into Ning Xiuyang's arms.
"Be careful!"
Ning Xiuyang reacted quickly, wrapping his other arm around her waist and supporting her steadily.
The girl's soft and slender body bumped into his arms.
A faint, sweet scent of soap and the salty smell of tears wafted into his nostrils.
Ning Xiuyang's body stiffened slightly.
Tang Wei, on the other hand, was struck dumb.
Her face was pressed tightly against his firm chest, and through the thin fabric of his clothes, she could even clearly feel his strong and powerful heartbeat.
"Bang, bang, bang."
One sound after another, steady and powerful, stood in stark contrast to her own frantic heartbeat that seemed to leap out of her throat.
Her face flushed bright red, as if it were about to bleed.
My mind went completely blank for a moment.
"Stand...stand firm."
Ning Xiuyang's voice rang out above her head, with a hint of barely perceptible hoarseness.
He quickly released his hand from her waist, but still held her hand to prevent her from falling again.
"I'm...I'm sorry, brother..."
Tang Wei snapped out of her daze, hurriedly pulled away from his embrace, lowered her head, and didn't dare to look at him even once.
"It's nothing." Ning Xiuyang looked at her bright red ears and his mood became somewhat complicated.
He helped her to the bedside and helped her sit down.
"Wait here for me, I'll go down and open the door."
"Hmm..." Tang Wei's voice was as soft as a mosquito's buzz.
Ning Xiuyang turned around and quickly walked out of the room.
Tang Wei didn't dare to raise her head until the door was closed again.
She looked at her hand, which he had once held, and in her palm, she could still feel the lingering sensation of his domineering yet warm touch.
Recalling that brief yet heart-pounding embrace, her heart was pounding wildly in her chest like a deer, unable to calm down.
The despair and darkness in my heart seemed to have been pierced by that beam of strong light.
And that man named Ning Xiuyang, with an undeniable force, was gradually squeezing into her world.
……
Ning Xiuyang quickly went down to the first floor.
In the living room, the Zheng sisters and Shen Youyou all stood up and looked at him nervously.
"Brother, Tang Wei, she..." Zheng Yumeng asked worriedly.
"She's alright now." Ning Xiuyang waved his hand and sighed, "She's much more stable now. I helped her to bed."
He spoke as he walked toward the door.
"The doctor is here, I'll go open the door."
Upon opening the door, a woman in her thirties, wearing a white coat and gold-rimmed glasses, with an intellectual and capable demeanor, stood outside carrying a medical kit.
"Hello, are you Mr. Ning?"
The female doctor adjusted her glasses and asked politely, "I am Qin Yiren from the First Municipal Hospital. You Jinyu sent me here."
"Dr. Qin, hello, thank you for coming so late." Ning Xiuyang nodded and let her in.
"Where is the patient?" Qin Yiren asked directly, clearly a decisive person.
"It's upstairs, please follow me."
Ning Xiuyang led Qin Yiren up to the second floor again.
The three girls in the living room looked at each other in dismay at the professional setup, not daring to utter a sound.
in the room.
Hearing footsteps, Tang Wei nervously gripped the hem of her clothes.
The door was pushed open, and Ning Xiuyang led Qin Yiren in.
"Tang Wei, don't be afraid. This is Dr. Qin. Let her take a look at you." Ning Xiuyang's voice was very gentle.
Qin Yiren walked to the bedside, opened the medical kit, and took out a stethoscope and flashlight. In a professional and convincing tone, she said, "Young lady, don't be nervous, I'm a doctor. Tell me in detail what happened this afternoon when you were beaten, and how you feel right now."
Perhaps it was Qin Yiren's professional attitude that made her feel at ease, or perhaps it was because Ning Xiuyang was standing right next to her that Tang Wei's nervousness eased considerably.
In a very low voice, she recounted what had happened that afternoon, as well as her symptoms of dizziness and nausea.
Qin Yiren listened attentively, nodding occasionally, while gently pressing Tang Wei's stomach with her gloved fingers to examine her.
"Based on the feedback from the pressure, there is severe contusion and hematoma in the abdominal wall muscle tissue."
"Now, I'm going to listen to the bowel sounds with a stethoscope to determine if any internal organs have been damaged."
Qin Yiren placed the cold stethoscope against Tang Wei's lower abdomen and listened carefully.
The room was eerily quiet, with only the faint sounds from the equipment and Tang Wei's tense breathing audible.
A few minutes later, Qin Yiren removed the stethoscope, her expression softening slightly.
"Fortunately, the bowel sounds are normal, and the initial assessment is that there is no organ rupture or internal bleeding. However, this is only a preliminary assessment, and the safest approach is to have an ultrasound at the hospital."
Finally, she gently pressed on Tang Wei's abdomen and head, asking how she felt.
After the examination, Qin Yiren's expression became somewhat serious.
She stood up and said to Ning Xiuyang, who was standing to the side, "Mr. Ning, based on preliminary assessment, the patient may have symptoms of a mild concussion, and also has soft tissue contusions in the abdomen."
"Although it doesn't seem like a big problem at the moment, head injuries can be serious or minor. I suggest that you go to the hospital for a detailed CT scan to rule out the risk of intracranial hemorrhage."
