Chapter 140 War King (Part 1)

Less than half an hour later, Ye Chen, like an unstoppable whirlwind, completely destroyed a closed prison holding many people with overwhelming force.

This prison is a den of iniquity, a place dedicated to fraud. Those imprisoned here are either forcibly brought in from outside, or ordinary residents of X city who, having exhausted all other options and driven to desperation, have no choice but to join in for survival.

They were forced to make fraudulent calls against their will, using sweet talk and false promises to lure people from outside the city into X.

Ye Chen quickly found the database, and just as he was about to push the door open and enter, he suddenly sensed a murderous aura!

He quickly retreated, a bullet grazing his nose! He immediately pulled out his Six Meridian Divine Needles and flung them aside, piercing the gun in the attacker's hand! Only then did he look at the newcomer.

It was a tall, muscular man with a burly build! He exuded a chilling aura of killing intent, as if he had stepped out of the depths of hell. Without the slightest hesitation, the man decisively threw away his broken gun and, like a ferocious beast, lunged at Ye Chen, fists clenched.

Faced with the oncoming enemy, Ye Chen's eyes instantly turned cold. His footwork was agile and unpredictable. He dodged to the side as lightly as a ghost, easily avoiding the extremely fierce attack.

"Who are you? Why are you blocking my way?" Ye Chen shouted angrily. However, the attacker ignored Ye Chen's question and just kept launching a frenzied attack. Every move was insidious and vicious, aimed directly at Ye Chen's vital parts.

The two exchanged blows, several rounds having already passed in the blink of an eye. Ye Chen was fully focused on dealing with his opponent's relentless attacks while searching for an opportunity to counterattack. Finally, after a brief exchange, Ye Chen suddenly reached out and grabbed the attacker's wrist, then twisted it forcefully.

The attacker let out a painful groan, and Ye Chen seized the opportunity to push him forward, firmly restraining him. Then, Ye Chen pressed again, "If you don't confess honestly, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Just then, the previously subdued attacker suddenly let out a cold laugh, unleashing a powerful force from who-knows-where, and forcefully broke free from Ye Chen's grasp. Then, he swung his fist, smashing it with the force of a thunderbolt towards Ye Chen's chest!

Ye Chen was taken aback; he hadn't expected his opponent to possess such astonishing explosive power. Despite his best efforts to dodge, the distance was too close, leaving him no time to react. With a loud "bang," Ye Chen was sent flying by the punch.

Fortunately, he was agile and adjusted his posture in mid-air, eventually landing steadily on the ground.

Compared to the force of the Kamen Rider, the opponent's attack was obviously much lighter. However, even so, Ye Chen couldn't help but spit out a small mouthful of blood after being hit so violently.

The man frowned slightly, staring down at his dislocated arm. He took a deep breath, then with a sharp snap, the dislocated joint instantly returned to its original position. After doing so, he raised his head, his gaze piercing as he stared at the person before him, a faint smile playing on his lips: "Your strength is not bad! You're worthy to know my name! I am the infamous fourth-in-command of X City—the War King!"

Upon hearing this name, Ye Chen was startled. His eyes widened, his face filled with astonishment. So this person was the second strongest fighter in X City, known as the War King, second only to the number one expert! No wonder he felt such immense pressure during their fight!

"Heh! Since you've already revealed your name, I might as well tell you—I am Ye Chen!" Ye Chen retorted without backing down.

"Oh? You're the legendary healer everyone's talking about? Heh, I've heard of you too. I just never expected that a dignified healer like you would choose to come here and seek your own death instead of staying in one of those families and enjoying wealth and luxury as a live-in son-in-law!" The War King sneered, his words full of sarcasm.

"You're courting death!" Ye Chen was enraged upon hearing this, feeling deeply insulted. In an instant, his right foot shot out like lightning, striking directly at the War King.

Facing Ye Chen's rapid and fierce kick, the War King showed no sign of panic. He actually took the blow with his own body!

"Hmph, you dare to spout such nonsense with such paltry tricks? You are truly ignorant of your own limitations!" The War King snorted coldly, then swung his right hand violently, his fist, carrying immense force, smashing towards Ye Chen like a cannonball.

Seeing this, Ye Chen dared not be careless in the slightest. He quickly crossed his arms in front of his chest, trying to block the incredibly powerful punch. However, the moment his fist and arm collided, a huge impact came. Ye Chen felt as if he had been hit by a mountain. He involuntarily staggered backward, taking several steps before he could barely regain his balance.
