Chapter 139: Dawn Ahead?

The crowd followed the mysterious woman and struggled forward in the shaking cave. There seemed to be a faint light ahead. The light was looming in the darkness, like a distant star twinkling in the night sky, bringing them a glimmer of slim but extremely precious hope.

Ruan Jianan's eyes were fixed on the light, hope was aroused in his heart, and his pace quickened. His eyes flashed with determination, as if the light was the guide of his life. His breathing became rapid and heavy, and every gasp seemed to be a desperate struggle with exhaustion and despair. His clothes were already tattered, and the wounds on his body were stinging under the soaking of sweat, but he seemed not to feel the pain, and all his attention was focused on the distant light.

Lin Yanan was panting, her face full of fatigue, but when she saw the light, her eyes lit up. Her steps were a little staggering, and every step she took seemed extremely difficult. Her hair was messy and stuck to her face, and sweat kept flowing down her cheeks. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with her hand, gritted her teeth and tried to keep up with everyone. Qin Hao wiped the sweat off his face and said excitedly, "Is that the exit?" His voice seemed to tremble in the echo of the cave, full of expectation and uncertainty. The mysterious woman did not answer Qin Hao's question, but continued to lead the way, her steps still light and firm.

Ruan Jianan looked back at Lin Yanan and Qin Hao and shouted, "Everyone, work harder, we will be able to get out soon!" His voice echoed in the cave, bringing a little encouragement to everyone.

Lin Yanan nodded and said in a weak but firm voice: "Well, I can do it!"

Qin Hao also responded: "Okay, let's rush out together!"

As they were moving towards the light with hope, the ground shook violently again. This time the shaking was even more violent than before, as if the entire cave was about to collapse. Rocks above their heads kept falling, making a huge roar.

Ruan Jianan shouted loudly: "Watch out for the top of your head!"

Lin Yanan screamed as a small stone hit her shoulder and she frowned in pain.

Ruan Jianan quickly ran over and supported Lin Yanan, "Yanan, are you okay?"

Lin Yanan bit her lip and shook her head, "I'm fine, let's keep going."

Qin Hao looked around vigilantly to prevent any more rocks from falling and hitting them.

At this moment, a huge rock fell from the top of the cave, blocking their way. This rock was so huge that it was like a hill, standing in front of them, blocking their way to the light.

Ruan Jianan looked at the boulder with despair in his heart. But he quickly adjusted his mood: "Don't be discouraged, let's work together to find a way to push it away!"

Qin Hao walked forward and knocked the boulder with the weapon in his hand, "This stone is too big, can we move it?"

Mysterious woman: "How do you know if you don't try? Let's work together!"

Everyone stood on one side of the boulder, pushing it with both hands. Their faces turned red from the effort, and veins on their foreheads bulged.

Everyone worked together, but the boulder did not move at all.

Lin Yanan panted: "This won't work, we don't have enough strength."

Qin Hao: "What should we do? Are we trapped here like this?"

The mysterious woman pondered for a moment and said, "Let's see if there are other passages around."

Everyone began to look for other ways out around the boulder, but there was nothing around except solid rock walls.

Ruan Jianan punched the rock. "Is it true that we can't get out?"

Lin Yanan walked over to Ruan Jianan and held his hand, "Jianan, don't give up, there must be a way."

Just when everyone was in despair, the mysterious woman suddenly said, "I found that this boulder is a little loose. Maybe we can dig a passage from underneath."

When everyone heard this, hope was rekindled.

They picked up their tools and started digging under the boulder.

After some effort, they finally dug out a small passage under the boulder.
