Chapter 2270: Follow your heart (1)
The popes came forward with curious looks on their faces, but they stopped when they saw my expression.
All of them couldn’t help revealing awkward looks, but they turned around in the end.
After all, the look on my face made it very clear that I didn’t want to talk to anyone right now.
Which was why all of them moved back and just cleared the path for me.
Though I could clearly see that they were still looking at me as if they were wondering what had happened just now.
I didn’t say anything as I walked right past them and went to leave the Holy Empire.
There were some that followed me and there were some that left me alone, but it was clear that they were worried that something had happened.
Right now, the most important thing for me was to head back to the Kite Kingdom and talk to the people that I cared about the most. They would be the ones that would have an answer for me.
When I arrived back in the Kite Kingdom, the celebrations were still happening.
However, everyone immediately came to see me even though the celebrations were happening since they wanted to know what happened.
Of course, the excuse that they gave was that it was a family gathering.
There really wasn’t anything that outsiders could say when they were given this excuse.
"You’re different."
That was the first thing that they said when they saw me, which caused a wry smile to appear on my face.
I knew that they weren’t saying it to judge me, they were just stating this as a fact.
This was something that I was already aware of since I had indeed changed from the time that I had spent in that trial space. Because of everything that I had learned from observing that world, my creation divine energy had completely changed.
If I had to describe it, it was like a door had opened and I had entered a whole new world.
It helped me realize that I was nothing more than a frog at the bottom of a well.
Everything that I had done before could now be done with a tenth of the effort.
Of course, this also changed the sensation that came from me when I met people.
I had already seen it with the way that the popes had looked at me.
They were the ones that were the most sensitive to divine energy after me, so it was only natural that they would be able to sense it as well.
With a deep breath, I started telling them about everything that had happened. The people that were in this room were the ones that were the closest to me, so I didn’t hold anything back this time.
Though that only pertained to what happened during the trial.
As for the other things that were on my mind, I didn’t say anything about them.
It wasn’t that I didn’t want to talk about them, it was just that I couldn’t bring myself to say it.
After all, it was hard for me to admit that I was someone from a completely different world and that they were nothing more than characters from a game. If it wasn’t for how things had developed, I would have been certain that they would have thought I was crazy.
Once I finished telling them everything, there was a long silence that lingered in the air.
I could see from the looks on their faces that they were deep in thought over what I had just told them.
I didn’t blame them for feeling this way since it really was a lot of information for them to take in. At the same time, the information that I was giving them involved something very shocking.
It would have been strange if they had been able to accept all this information that easily.
After a while, Rose finally said, "So what do you think?"
I was caught off guard hearing this from her and I looked at her with a strange look, but she just looked at me as if she was waiting for an answer from me.
It wasn’t just Rose alone that was waiting for an answer, I could see that the others were also looking at me in a similar fashion.
However, I didn’t know what they were expecting from me and I just looked at them with a dazed look.
It took a while, but I finally said, "I don’t know. That’s why I’m telling you all of this."
"So you’ve never talked about this before because you thought that you should carry all of this on your own? Or is it because you don’t trust us?"
Once again, I was caught off guard by the words that she said.
I could see that with the way that everyone was looking at me, they were only waiting for me to give an answer.
But it really was hard for me to answer at this point since it would mean having to reveal something that I didn’t want to reveal. After all, the only way that they would understand why I did what I did was if I revealed that I was from a different world...
Taking a deep breath, I was about to say something.
Only before I could say it, Rose suddenly cut me off.
"If you can’t say it, then you can’t say it. It’s not something that you have to force yourself to say."
I was once again surprised when I heard this.
After all, the way that things were developing, it really seemed like they were forcing me to tell the truth. But now all of a sudden, it seemed like she didn’t want an answer at all.
I was just confused by the way that Rose was acting since I didn’t know what she was expecting from me.
But then, Rose just looked right into my eyes and said, "You already have an idea, don’t you?"
