Chapter 450 10th Anniversary Meeting
Chapter 450 10th Anniversary Meeting
After Da Zhangwei stepped down from the stage, several external programs were invited to perform.
After a few performances, Deng Chao stood up and walked towards the stage.
He had drunk quite a bit, and he was already walking a little unsteadily.
Sun Li reached out to tug at his clothes, but couldn't hold on.
Deng Chao stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat into the microphone.
"Dear colleagues! Today I'm going to sing you a song called 'Passionate Desert'!"
A chorus of cheers and applause immediately erupted from the audience.
Deng Chao sang with great energy and enthusiasm, but he was also genuinely off-key.
He shouted out every lyric with all his might, and the veins on his neck bulged.
This guy not only sings, he dances too.
The dance moves were completely haphazard, twisting the waist, shaking the legs, and tossing the head, creating a constantly swirling black whirlwind.
The audience was in stitches. Huang Bo was pounding the table, Lei Jiayin was laughing so hard tears were streaming down her face, and Wang Baoqiang was clapping wildly, his face flushed red.
Sun Li sat at the table next to the main table, her hands folded on her knees, her back straight, and a smile on her face that said, "I'm fine, I'm okay, I don't know him."
Her lips twitched slightly as she tried to maintain a dignified demeanor.
On stage, Deng Chao jumped down from the side and grabbed Sun Li's arm. He pulled Sun Li up from her chair, still holding a glass of red wine. She quickly put the glass down and then raised her other hand to slap Deng Chao's arm. The slap was swift and quiet, but it was seen by people at several nearby tables.
"Oh, don't be shy—"
Deng Chao covered his arm, grinned, and let go of his hand. He then turned to Huang Xiaoming, who was laughing so hard he was doubled over, and grabbed his arm, dragging him onto the stage.
"Xiao Ming! Together!"
Huang Xiaoming stumbled as he was pulled, his expression a mixture of fear and helplessness, as he turned back and shouted as he was dragged along.
"Brother Chao, you can dance all you want, don't pull me. I'm not drunk."
The laughter from the audience grew even louder, and even Sun Li couldn't help but turn her head away and laugh.
The music started playing again, and Deng Chao sang and danced on stage. Huang Xiaoming stood next to him and awkwardly swayed along a few times, his movements as stiff as a telephone pole bent by the wind.
Fu Yibai leaned back in his high-backed chair, watching Deng Chao and Huang Xiaoming on stage, a smile on his lips that lasted until the song ended.
After the performance, Deng Chao staggered back to his seat, plopped down next to Sun Li, and downed her glass of red wine in one gulp.
Sun Li wiped the sweat from his forehead with a tissue, her face still bearing the helplessness from before, but beneath that helplessness lay a hint of a smile.
Towards the end of the meal, the company's new employees began lining up to toast at the head table.
Jin Chen wore a burgundy strapless mini dress tonight, and her fair and slender legs were so dazzling that they made people dizzy.
Compared to when she first joined the company, she has lost much of her naivety and gained a more relaxed and confident demeanor.
Fu Yibai raised his wine glass and clinked it against hers.
"I watched your variety show. You performed well and were very uninhibited."
They've built up a good rapport with the audience.
Jin Chen's eyes lit up.
She never expected Fu Yibai to watch her variety show.
That reality show wasn't a big production, and it wasn't broadcast during prime time, but her performance in it did gain her a lot of fans.
"Thank you, Mr. Fu. I will continue to work hard."
She tilted her head back, downed the wine in her glass, bowed, and withdrew.
Zhang Tianai followed Jin Chen.
She wore a white shirt dress tonight with a thin black tie at the neckline, and her hair was styled in a high ponytail, making her look neat and efficient.
Her toasting manner was also efficient, without any unnecessary pleasantries, she stood in front of Fu Yibai with her wine glass in hand.
"Thank you for your guidance; without you, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Fu Yibai nodded.
"You are very versatile; you can pull off both period dramas and modern dramas."
The company will be giving you more roles this year, so be prepared.
"Yes."
Zhang Tianai finished her drink in one gulp, then turned and went back decisively.
Li Chun and Huang Mengying came together.
Two students from Beijing Film Academy stood side by side, one gentle and graceful, the other aloof and reserved, like two sides of a painting.
Huang Mengying wore a light green long dress, her hair was loose over her shoulders, and she spoke softly.
"Mr. Fu, thank you for signing us into the company."
"General Manager Lin arranged many training courses for us, and the instructors were all very kind."
Li Chun stood next to her, wearing a black fitted dress.
She didn't say much, but simply raised her glass with Huang Mengying.
"Thank you, Mr. Fu."
Fu Yibai clinked glasses with them and took a sip of wine.
"You two are still in school, so you can't fall behind in your studies."
Mr. Lin told me that your weekends and summer/winter breaks are quite packed with announcements, so don't overwork yourself.
A warm feeling welled up in both women's hearts at the same time.
"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Fu."
"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Fu."
After the female celebrities finished toasting, the male celebrities followed closely behind.
